1994      Symphonic Movement for Orchestra.

 

1995      Sauvage et Suave for Piano premiered at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.  Published by Cascade Music.

 

1996      Shape Suite for Chamber Orchestra in Three Movements.  First Movement premiered at the R.W.C.M.D.

 

1994      English Fantasia for Guitar and String Orchestra in Two Movements.  Commissioned and premiered by John Mills and the Sarum Chamber Orchestra.  Further performances in Finland, Canada and the UK.  Published by Edition Daminus.

 

1999  Whisperings for Violin and Guitar, commissioned by Chipping Sodbury Music Society and premiered by Susannah Candlin (of the London Mozart Players) and John Mills.  Several further performances by Roger Huckle and Hayley Savage.  Published by Corda Music.

 

1999  Wholly Ordered? for Guitar, String Ensemble, Piano and Chorister, commissioned by Wotton-under-Edge Arts Festival and premiered by Cobie Smit (Guitar), the Emerald Ensemble, Hayley Savage (Piano) and Tom Setterfield.

 

1999  B.C./A.D. for Choir and Organ (a setting of U.A. Fanthorpe’s poem) commissioned by Katherine Lady Berkeley’s School and premiered in St. Mary’s Church, Wotton-under-Edge by K.L.B. School Choir and Graham Bull.  A further performance by Il Piccolo Coro, conducted by Philippa Morgan.

 

2000  Homenaje al Reyezuelo Musico (A Tribute to the Musician Wren of the Amazon) for Guitar, Flute, Viola and Piano, commissioned by the Karstola Music Festival, Finland, and premiered by John Mills (Guitar) Claire Heaney (Flute) Lisanne Melchior (Viola) and Hayley Savage (Piano).  A further performance in Bristol.  Published by Lathkill Music.

 

2000  Breuddwyd (Dream) for Flute and Guitar, commissioned by Stroud Arts Festival and premiered by Claire Heaney and Hayley Savage.  Published by Edition Daminus.

 

2002  Blue Jewel for Guitar and Orchestra, commissioned by Stroud Symphony Orchestra, premiered in March by Hayley Savage and the Stroud Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jonathan Trim.

 

2002  B.R.A.C.E. Baroque for Violin, Guitar and String Orchestra, commissioned by the Bristol-based charity B.R.A.C.E. and premiered by Roger Huckle, Hayley Savage and the Emerald Ensemble, conducted by Martin Pring.  A further performance in Tewkesbury Abbey.

 

2002  Storm in a Teacup for Solo Piano.

 

2003  Song (a setting of U.A. Fanthorpe’s poem) commissioned by Stroud Arts Festival and premiered by Il Piccolo Coro, conducted by Philippa Morgan.

 

2003  Song for the Papworth Family (a setting of Adam Horovitz’s poem) commissioned by Stroud Arts Festival and premiered by Il Piccolo Coro, conducted by Philippa Morgan.

 

2003  The Wessex Anthem (a setting to words by Wessex-dialect poet Devina Symes) commissioned by The Wessex Society, Chairman Lord Bath.  Demo recorded by Deborah Morris (Soprano) and Hayley Savage (Piano).

 

2003  Mazurka Opus 17 No.4 by Chopin, transcribed for Classical Guitar by Hayley Savage.  Premiered by Hayley Savage at the Guiting Festival.  A further performance in St George’s, Bristol.

 

2003  Storm in a Teacup for Guitar Trio (transcribed from Solo Piano by Hayley Savage) commissioned by The Guitar Circle and premiered by the Appassionata Guitar Trio.  A further performance at the Nailsworth Arts Festival and London’s South Bank and Bolivar Hall.  Published by Edition Daminus and included on the debut CD by the Appassionata Guitar Trio, Let Go.

 

2005  Piano Concerto No.1 commissioned by Stroud Symphony Orchestra and premiered by Hayley Savage and the Stroud Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jonathan Trim.

2006  Arabah Ca’ar (Desert Whirlwind) for Guitar Trio.  Premiered by the Appassionata Guitar Trio at Swansea Classical Guitar Circle, with further performances in Cardiff, Bognor Regis, Cheltenham, Scandinavia, New York, Oregon and elsewhere in the UK and Europe.  First recording on the Appassionata Guitar Trio’s second album, Beyond Horizons.

 

2006  From Acorn to Oak for Piano Trio.  Commissioned by Wotton-under-Edge Arts Festival and premiered by the Emerald Piano Trio – Christopher Northam (Piano) Roger Huckle (Violin) Keith Tempest (Cello) – with a further performance in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

 

2006  Momento Triste for Guitar and Violin.  Premiered by Duo del Fuego at the Brighton Festival.

 

2007  Dodecaphonica (Throwing the Dice) for Guitar Duo.  Commissioned by Harris Becker, Director of the Long Island Guitar Festival, to celebrate the festival’s 15th Anniversary.  Premiered by Harris Becker and Pasquale Bianculli.  First recording on the Albach Guitar Duo’s album, The Raw and the Cooked.

 

2007  Passing Through for Solo Guitar.  Commissioned and first recorded by Harris Becker, Director of the Long Island Guitar Festival.  Further performances by Hayley in the UK and at the 16th Long Island Guitar Festival.

 

2007  Luna Nueva for Orchestra.  Commissioned by Bristol Music Club Orchestra, conducted by William Goodchild, and premiered at St George’s Bristol.

2008  Four evocative new works for Solo Guitar: Crossed Wires, Coloured Strings, Falling Stars and Lifeline (all featured on Hayley’s 2008 album of original music for Solo Guitar, Crossed Wires and Coloured Strings).  Premiered by Hayley in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.  Further performances by Hayley for the Worcester Guitar Society and at the 16th Long Island Guitar Festival.
